This course will run for 8 consecutive weeks. It starts at 6pm and ends at 9pm. You will need to bring your own laptop for this course.

Who is this course for?

Those who want to learn the basics of PHP. This course is specifically designed for developers with none or limited knowledge of PHP.

  • Basic PHP syntax and primitive datatypes
  • Complex data types
  • Variables, Constants, Expressions and operators
  • Loops and Control Structures
  • Functions, variable scope and parameters
  • Code documenting
  • Require and include
  • File handling
  • Exception handling
  • Forms
  • Session and Cookie handling
  • MySQL
  • Security (SQL injection)
  • Misc features
  • Final project

At the end of the course the developer should be able to create any procedural/function based PHP software – handling simple logins, fixing bugs and extending features.
